The organization oversees the SMA Industry Collaboration, a multi-faceted partnership that brings together pharmaceutical companies and nonprofit organizations, to share information, ideas, and data. The SMA-IC works together to address scientific, clinical and regulatory topics that are critical to the promotion of early diagnosis as well as the advancement of drug development in SMA.

Healthy Start is a federally funded nation wide infant mortality reduction program, that helps families achieve better health outcomes. Since its initiation in 1991, Healthy Start has served hundreds of thousands of families.
