As the Director of Communications at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB), an 1890 Land-Grant HBCU, I assist in guiding the strategy for all communications, website, and public relations messages to consistently articulate the mission of the university. I also enhance the UAPB brand and ensure that UAPB is viewed as the primary source, disseminator, and conduit of educational information within the region. With over 20 years of hands-on leadership experience in large global organizations, I bring a broad base of practical skills, experience, and expertise in human resources, organizational development, communications, and client-facing roles.I am a creative, innovative, and lifelong learner who loves using and implementing technological solutions that create operational efficiencies. I am also a published author, podcast producer/host, public speaker, and FM radio personality, who works as a social entrepreneur through my company MB Enterprises, with a mission of #empathyforgriefandloss and #healing.
