Responsibilities include management of the operations of Maggie's Place including oversight of 35 staff and MissionCorps, new program development, fundraising/grant-writing, development of the Board of Directors, and fiscal oversight. In this role, I have had significant exposure to: management of construction projects, self-publishing a book, property acquisition and facility management, oversight of financial operations, staff recruitment and retention, program development, public speaking, and working with the media. I have a broad base of management skills including: vision and system development, leading organizational change and growth, managing multiple projects simultaneously, coalition development, creating and implementing process to develop staff leadership, facilitating meetings and conversations, and integrating various perspectives into decision making.In my twelve years of leadership at Maggie’s Place, the organization grew from an idea to a thriving organization with $3 million in assets and an annual budget of $1.5 million. For the organization, I have written and been awarded over $1 million in grant gifts and have raised over $7 million in other gifts.
