Helping students entering the Albert Einstein Academy as 3rd graders get "Einstein-ized"! Together we learn about the IB attributes, attitudes, and all that good 3rd grade Common Core stuff! Serving as Team Lead for several years, I was able to facilitate communication between leadership and my grade level team. Additionally, we worked collaboratively as Team Leads to create and promote a cohesive vertical program. Connecting with our Specials teachers, working to support an integrated, cross-disciplinary program is also a key goal working at an IB school.

As a member of the Central Elementary staff in the National School District, I got to do it all! I worked closely with staff and leadership, both across and within grade levels...even across to the other 9 schools in the district. We would strive to serve each student by name through analyzing data and implementing the best possible plan for achievement. Site administration sought to support staff and classroom teachers in whatever means necessary. This supportive nature took the climate of the school and really, "kicked it up a notch," to use the words of that well-known chef, Emeril. It was a pleasure to work with such professional, giving, and knowledgeable people.During my 15 years in the National School District, I was able to experience the classroom teacher side of VAPA instruction through welcoming guest teachers in dance, theater, and the visual arts. As a photography student during my undergraduate years at UCSD, I learned how to connect the captured image with the written word. Additionally, through the support of the San Diego County Office of Education "Picture This" program, I was able to engage my learners with the moving image and videography. My time with NSD was where I learned how to really invest in the community where I taught and to also be invested in by that community. My professional and personal growth while with NSD is something I value and will cherish for a lifetime. It is a special place because of the commitment by so many to the lives of the students. I am proud to have been part of the NSD team for so long.

While living in the great state of Alaska, I was able to build relationships with both new and existing college level customers, helping them find a good fit of textbook and technology for their course needs. Working with professors and administrative staff, I happily met their expectations while working towards meeting and exceeding my sales goals.

Ucsd Geisel Library

Professionally managed multiple tasks, including payroll and new hire orientation, while assisting internal and external customers in a prompt and courteous manner. Initiated and maintained Employee Photo Gallery on-line, as well as designed and produced The Navigator, a quarterly publication.
