Executive DirectorChardon Tomorrow Sep 2016 - PresentChardon, OhChardon Tomorrow is a Heritage Ohio Main Street accredited organization. In 2019, we moved forward on transitioning to a Community Development Corporation to help improve the quality of life for all Chardon residents, while still maintaining our Main Street Affiliation. During my tenure with the organization we have grown programming from two annual events to more than 30 collaborative programs, events, and workshops throughout the Chardon community. We have doubled our budget, while increasing grant, sponsorship, and donor giving. We have successfully partnered with our local libraries, Chamber of Commerce, theater, schools, and more to create multi-dimensional programming that is mutually beneficial for our respective organizations and communities. We've worked with merchants to drive economic development events like shop hops, our first Chocolate Walk, and our first Traveling Tea Party. We collaborated with the city of Burton to secure the Ohio Chautauaqua Tour in 2019--the first dual city event of its kind. This fall we will host our first ballot issue, an initiative geared toward developing Sunday business on the Square by modifying the current liquor licensing for all businesses in our Main Street district. We continually strive to develop relationships and programs that enhance the cultural fabric of the community, build sustainable businesses, and maintain the historical integrity of Chardon. -

Director Of Communications And Community OutreachCleveland Jazz Orchestra Aug 2009 - Apr 2016Cleveland/Akron, Ohio AreaThe Cleveland Jazz Orchestra boasts an annual sold-out season at the Hanna Theater in PlayhouseSquare, plays throughout the community with a free Jazz Discovery series, and provides entertainment to a variety of audiences through a contract 'gig' program. This magical mystery tour happened each year under the direction of a massive staff of two individuals. So alongside the Executive Director, I held down the outreach, education, marketing, communications, and design side of the house and was proud to serve as the occasional chauffer and barista for an outstanding group of musicians. On the formal side, I developed and implemented an annual integrated strategic growth and communications plan to advance the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra’s brand identity; broaden awareness of its programs and priorities; and increase the visibility of its programs across key stakeholder audiences. These efforts resulted in growth of 171% in ticket revenue and 119% in ticket buyers during my tenure. I worked to foster positive relationships with other not-for-profit organizations, professional organizations, and the greater Cleveland community to find opportunities for programming, cross-promotion, and audience building. I worked with our Board of Directors and Executive Director to recognize internal and external communications opportunities and solutions, and defined and executed appropriate strategies to support them. Identify challenges and emerging issues faced by the organization. -
