About Mary Mcintyre

Former Music Educator, who transitioned into the world of Reading and Literacy. My interest in literacy began with my experience teaching young children to read music. I am intrigued by the connections between reading music and reading words; both simply decoding symbols on a page, but within different parameters and creating vastly different results. This year I completed a second Master's degree and certification as a Literacy Specialist, and most recently worked part-time providing reading intervention services.
