At Apple Tree Dental, our mission is to overcome barriers to oral health. My role is to lead all development activities for the organization. By May of 2024, we have raised more than $5 million in funds which helps provide nearly 100,000 annual dental visits for under-resourced or differently abled Minnesotans to receive dental care, 86% of whom were on Medicaid or Medicare.

While executing baseline member services (facilitating committees, working on public relations, writing the monthly e-newsletter, growing our social media engagement, and managing awards programs), I also worked with staff and members to educate the public on the value of architecture.

Reporting to the Development Director, my role was to help develop fundraising strategies, support campaign goals, write and solicit grants, major gift solicitation, and to participate in the implementation of donor relation strategies. I was responsible for interacting with the capital campaign Steering Committee, volunteers, and donors to develop solicitation strategies and campaign goals.• Researched and wrote grant proposals and letters of intent to foundations and corporations; helped raise more than $75,000 in one year.• Worked with county and city agency representatives to seek funding.• Worked closely with board volunteers to partner in solicitation of gifts. Researched prospects, produced profiles, directed solicitation strategies, created solicitation materials and proposals, conducted donor cultivation, and performed ongoing stewardship.• Managed Capital Campaign Steering Committee meetings, collaborated with committee co-chairs, assigned and followed up on action steps, and created committee communications and minutes. Managed campaign timelines, gift pyramid, and prospect databases.

Reporting to the Executive Director, my role was to create and implement effective development efforts including: fundraising, grant proposal writing, special events, database management, board development, and gift and donor identification and cultivation.

Reporting to the agency President and Owner, my role at this boutique-marketing agency was to create and implement marketing programs for shopping center development clients and serve as the agency’s main representative for client relationship management.
