Empowering women 50 + to live life on purpose and with passion!My LinkedIn profile will showcase my passion for travel and my commitment to a community I founded to fulfill my third passion: the National Association for Dynamic Senior Women.Here is my story:My love affair for travel began when I took my first trip to Europe at 13 years old. I flew to Lisbon, Portugal and took a Grand Tour of Europe with family. One memory of that first trip that has stayed with me through the years was of a bracelet I bought in Portugal. This one act led to a tradition I have maintained through my years of travel - which is to purchase a piece of local jewelry. I visited Europe again in 1967 and then again in 1972. After earning a Masters in Education, and three children later, I decided to turn my travel passion into profit and began an official travel career in 1981. I worked part time at a travel agency for the next 10 years as well as teaching travel courses and hosting a local travel show on C3TV, The Travel Exchange. I opened my own travel agency, Northside Travel, in 1991. Many years later and many more countries checked off my must see list, my love of travel, my passion for exploration, my devotion to meeting new people in their home environment and my search for the ultimate piece of local jewelry are still the foundation of my life.Although travel is my rock, I am now at a season in my life where I wish to shift from successful to significant. My goal is to inspire other women who are 60 + to find their passion and live on purpose the way I have over the years.
