Managed member communications for the State Health Plan (SHP). Created and managed Member Focus, the Plan’s monthly e-newsletter. Supported the Communications Director on a variety of media and public relations assignments, including serving as the primary writer for press releases. Developed the SHP Communications Standards and Style Guide for use by all staff and vendors. Wrote and edited documents on a variety of health care topics, including print media, for the SHP website and newsletter. Developed intranet content and promotions. Designed presentations, posters, fliers and video to support special programs.

Directed Corporate Communications for Reichhold as they transitioned from wholly-owned subsidiary of DIC, Inc. through a successful management buyout. Worked with the Reichhold Executive Team (new owners of the company) to create a formal Communications Strategy and Media Plan for all phases of the management buyout.

Led the EDS North Carolina Community Relations, including management of board memberships, corporate charitable giving and employee volunteerism. Also developed employee involvement events and activities. Served in leadership roles in key community organizations.
