I'm a journalist, broadcaster, media trainer, media consultant and the founder of Socius Media which is an executive media training company.My first jobs took me round NZ working as a journalist, radio host and newsreader. In 1991, I headed to Japan and for three years worked as Radio New Zealand's foreign correspondent.On returning to NZ, I hosted the BBC World Service Business before settling into television where I researched and presented a series of TV documentaries for Communicado. This led to me joining the presenting team of the National Business Review television business programme.At the beginning of 1997 I secured the role of host of TV One’s "Good Morning". During my seven years as the sole presenter, I had another show on the go called “Money Doctor” on TV One. In 2004 I stepped down from Good Morning to focus on my then very young family (Rebecca born in 2002 and twins Jack and Elizabeth born 2004), but kept my hand in the media by writing for an assortment of magazines and working as a part time talkback host on Newstalk ZB and Radio Live.In 2015 I founded Socius Media www.socius.co.nz . To this day I have media trained C suite executives, politicians, our current Prime Minister, business people and community leaders to be the very best in front of the camera and microphone.
