About Mary Lee, P.Eng

Mary is a collaborative leader in Shell’s Upstream and Integrated Gas Business with 18 years of experience in building high performance teams, delivering business targets and leading projects with headline size $100 Mln to >$1 Bln. Mary joined Shell in 2005 and has held technical and project management roles in Canada and the USA, including Gundy Exploration Project Lead, Emerging Assets Geoscience Advisor, New Basins Technical Workstream lead and Business Performance Lead in the Conventional Oil and Gas line of business. Mary has a deep understanding of the upstream value chain and successfully led the Gundy Team from bid round to well delivery, handing over operations in 12 wells from an exploration & appraisal program that opened up the North Montney fairway. Mary has championed integration of subsurface data and economics to generate basin-wide Value Maps, which are used to proactively rank and benchmark commercial growth options. As Business Performance Lead, Mary leveraged data-driven insights to enable assets to achieve their Ultimate Potential on Production and Costs. In her current role, Mary is working to safely and sustainably grow Upstream production to maximize integrated value for Shell. Mary is passionate about Diversity & Inclusion and served as co-Chair of the AsiaNet Employee Resource Group and Vice-Chair of the United Way’s Women United committee. In her free time, Mary enjoys spending time with her family and channels her entrepreneurial spirit managing a portfolio of residential real estate investments.
