How many times have you wanted to beat your head on your desk when doing training in the office environment? Sometimes I wonder if the people designing these trainings remember that they are being done by actual people, not AI. The personal aspect is getting left by the wayside. I believe that I will be a shining light in the world of learning technologies. As a previous classroom educator, school technology coordinator, corporate trainer, analyst and currently a sales consultant, I am well versed in educational, as well as, corporate environments. During a recent continuing education training class, I was told by the instructor that with my knowledge and experience, I should be the one teaching the class. This got me to thinking and put me on the road to my destiny: getting my masters degree in learning technologies, along-side with working at a corporation where I can utilize my talents and what I will be learning through my classes and degree to help change the lives of others and myself for the better, while subsequently getting my PHD in learning technologies, so that I can become proficient in teaching our youth and adult students with the integrity, technology, and personalism that they deserve.I am a rare-breed who is highly analytical, tech savvy, and a people person who can speak in high-tech lingo or make it easily understandable to those that are not adept in technology terminology. Learning technologies is the wave of the future, and I am riding the wave with my proficiency in Microsoft Office’s suite of products, including Access, as well as instructional video production, editing, and implementation. I’ve dabbled in the writing of SQL scripts for document management workflows, can set-up a MFP with scanning workflows, and enjoy using Photoshop to create marketing collateral for the office.
