I am the founder of Easy Glass Services. Established in 2002, we have grown in size and reputation to be one of the leading glass, glazing and aluminium fabrication and installation teams in Darwin and the Top End.For 19 years we have been fabricating and installing custom-made windows, doors, shower screens, mirrors, security screens, bespoke specialty items, and more. Many of our projects have won numerous industry awards. I am the Sole and Managing Director, responsible for: • Advertising,• Estimating,• Harvesting, • Productivity,• Human Resources,• Training,• Accounting and Financial Decisions,• Acquiring and distributing assets,• Managing insurances for the company, people and assets, and all claims,• Determining, iterating, and enforcing our risk profile,• Seeking professional advice to guide the company, implementing, and disseminating the relevant components,• Ensuring safety on all levels for our operations,• Securing a viable, healthy future for all stakeholders,• Integrating industry best practice,• Maintaining reputation and relationships,• Everything else that makes a company successful.I have written virtually all of the manuals, policies, procedures, and forms that govern our operation, including SWMS, JSA, OH&S policies, job descriptions and more. I have amassed and trained a fabulous team who support me in these roles. I support them to be the best they can be. We work as a cohesive, high-achieving team, lifting each other to greatness. Many years ago, I successfully lobbied to have glass and glazing listed on the skills shortage register. I have successfully trained 4 apprentices, all of whom are actively involved in construction. I ensure that some of our profits are returned to our community supporting local charities, schools, and youthful sporting organizations. Ultimately, I am accountable for everything that happens within this company. It is imperative that I get the balance right.The buck stops with me!
