Designed and implemented the startup phase of the Fresno County Civic Engagement Capacity Building Initiative. Developed and managed a $500,000 project budget, including proposal development, re-granting to community partners, managing project cash flow, and grant reporting. Led and facilitated a strategic planning process with community partners and funders, and facilitated the implementation of the corresponding monthly work plan. Managed the hiring process for the local coordinator position and provided onboarding support and weekly coaching to ensure success.

Supported the development and launch of a national pooled fund for NFG’s Democratizing Development Program. Led a design team of founding partner funders to create a set of expectations for the process and its outcomes, and to develop shared goals and priorities. Developed and managed the national pooled fund’s project implementation plan. Led the hiring process for the fund director, and supported their onboarding to the project.

Coordinated the Inland Empire Capacity Building Project for the California Civic Participation Funders. Provided strategic support, troubleshooting, and coaching to the local project consultant. Served as liaison between the local consultant, community-based organizations, and funders to develop an overall project work plan and budget. Managed the funding for the project, including proposal development and tracking.

Managed $1M national grants portfolio, including proposal review, site visits, capacity building support, and strategic alignment of resources with other Foundation partners. Co-founded the California Civic Participation Funders, a collaborative of ten California Foundations committed to increasing civic engagement capacity in communities of color in four counties in California. Served as Founding Board Chair of the Alliance for Youth Organizing, a nationwide network of organizations building political power of young people, and the premier youth vote vehicle in the United States.
