As a Purchasing Agent with the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs, I provide daily purchasing support to the nine State Veterans’ Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities across the state of Florida. I evaluate purchasing thresholds, methods of procurement, commodity codes, and forms of contract to ensure purchase requisitions are in compliance with FDVA policy, and State of Florida laws and regulations. I work closely with many vendors to process purchase orders, and to communicate accurate information regarding the needed commodities and services.I have more than three years of managerial experience in different professional environments, where I developed skills in multitasking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and teamwork. I am always eager to learn new systems and processes, and I quickly adapt to new challenges and opportunities. I have a bachelor of science in geography from Arizona State University, which gives me a unique perspective on the global and regional aspects of supply chain management. I am passionate about expanding my knowledge and skills in this field.
