About Mary Mitchell

By asking the right questions through primary qualitative and quantitative research, I deliver insights that help global digital startup and legacy companies enhance product functionality, content strategy and customer experience--improving engagement and retention, and reducing operating costs. A hands-on researcher, I do ethnography, heuristic evaluations, individual in-depth interviews, focus groups and usability; create and run surveys, and analyze results; work with digital analytics; distill meaning from large datasets; and present actionable recommendations. I enjoy mentoring others, learning new tools and techniques, and collaborating across disciplines to develop useful products for customers. In my spare time, I'm an avid exerciser who logs 40 miles a week mainly through walking and step aerobics. The longest walk I've done was the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day 60-Mile Walk (August 2004). It's often while exercising that I come up with creative ideas for products and new ways to approach research.
