Mary's experience sits at the nexus of impact, purpose, and business. After successfully positioning Landmark Hotel as a leading local business, she currently serves as Chairperson. She also created 17 Ventures which inspired by the SDGs and is focused on building impact economies.Mary is the co-founder of Nafsuna, a conscious -living company focused on the Arabic-speaking world.Her related venture is MVMNT which is leading the way in bringing holistic and inclusive wellness to the region.In 2022, Mary was assigned the role of Team Leader for an IFC/World Bank market study designed to support Jordanian women entrepreneurs.She was chosen as Jordan’s Top Businesswoman in 2019 and was featured as a Forbes Cover Story entitled "Humanity Meets Humanity." She is a former Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum and a Global Future Council Member on the Humanitarian Systems Council of World Economic Forum (WEF).Mary is a qualified Barrister (Bar of England & Wales).Mary has a BA in political science from Columbia University ('01), an LLB from the College of Law and an MA in law from SOAS, University of London. She completed her barrister qualification at the Inns of Court School of Law. In 2019, Mary completed Oxford University’s executive programme on transformational leadership, University of Zurich’s executive programme on impact investment and blended finance. In 2020, she completed an impact management and measurement course, accredited by Social Value International. Mary has also completed an Executive Education program on Alternative Investments at Harvard Business School and Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century at the Harvard Kennedy School; Wealth Planning at Columbia Business School and Value Investing also at Columbia Business School.Mary serves on several prestigious boards including the European Legal Support Center, the King Hussein Cancer Center and Foundation and the Royal Film Commission. She is also an advisor to the Britain Palestine Media Center and the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.In the spirit of holistic wellness, Mary has also completed her 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training, corporate yoga teacher training, and courses on the neurobiology of yoga, mindful trauma-informed yoga, ayurveda, and yoga and mindfulness for neurodiverse children. Mary has 3 children and is an advocate for peaceful and conscious parenting.
