I lead a team of Application Specialists who are responsible for the ongoing operations of the KIDS Application and the implementation of any needed fixes and changes.

I lead a team of folks who directly support and train caseworkers and providers in entering data into the county's child welfare application. We also are the team who works closely with the IT vendor on needed updates and changes to the application. The application serves as the electronic record for every family we work with and it interfaces with several other local and state applications, that incorporate the processes and procedures that are at work as children and families are referred, assessed, serviced, monitored, and discharged.

KIDS is our caseload management system. My unit serves as the liaison between the developers and casework staff and we assist and train them. I like to think of my job as best practice meets trainer meets information technology.
