I am someone who is inspired and determined about my professional and future career as an event planner. My name is Mary Nuss and I am currently a Junior at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. I've always wanted a future career that a lot of variety and that I am completely passionate about. I've pursued internships such as working at a Country Club for a summer as well as working for a company called ProCamps for a week in August the past two years. These two internships have made me feel more experienced by being more involved in my field of study.i am currently taking classes at the School of Public Health at Indiana University to further my career as an event planner with a minor in Public Relations. Taking these classes has improved my understanding of the event management world and how to be a professional event planner after I graduate. I've had classes called Festivals and Event Management that allowed me as a student to make my own event with a group which helped me grasp understanding of event management. I've taken a Social Media Communication Strategies class that has further my knowledge and understanding of my minor in Public Relations. The classes here at Indiana University as well as the internships I have pursued have allowed me to get more experience in the field by learning more about the event management and PR industry.
