Prevention Time is a non-denominational Christian organization that seeks to save the lives of young people from HIV and AIDS and allow them to reach their full potential. Their efforts are focused on South Africa because it is the country with the highest number of HIV infections in the world, with an estimated 5.7 million people currently infected. Prevention Time sponsors an HIV/AIDS prevention curriculum promoting wise life choices, especially with regard to sexual behavior. They also provide assistance to children who have lost parents or are suffering from life-threatening illnesses by sponsoring Khayelisha Care, which offers a range of support services to orphans and vulnerable children.
