In the 1970s, she and her husband, Ken, joined ServiceMaster, together developing a multi-million dollar residential and commercial cleaning franchise with offices throughout New Hampshire. It grew to be one of the top ServiceMaster businesses in the U.S. and was recognized several times with a Master Award for being the top franchise in the country. In her role working with her husband as a Master Franchisor, Mary helped many others in the State of New Hampshire realize their dreams of business ownership. She also worked helping to develop several emerging franchise service businesses such as HomeBrite which became a part of Merry Maids. While teaching at Southern NH University and Daniel Webster College, she received high evaluations and acclaim for bringing a collaborative style to her classroom.
