While working for Desert Radiology, she developed an ITIL based Service Operations and Transition program. The program entailed defining Tier 1 and 2 services, with Problem Management and Incident handling. The program leveraged ServiceNow escalating between support business units to maintain continuity and build knowledge. She also built and matured the CAB (Change Advisory Board) and Knowledge Management. Mary’s experience and background was instrumental in the development of these programs for Desert Radiology. To date, it is still a running program in Desert Radiology. Aside from her knowledge in ITIL and ITSM, I participated in her leadership program, while at Desert Radiology. She trained leadership on how to improve collaboration between their staff and units. The 3-day professional development course improved my ability to identify the different work personalities and how to unify them as a team. There are many great qualities of Mary’s personality, highlighted are her openness and honesty. Her openness to listen to creative ideas allowed us to integrate a more fun approach to train the IT staff on Incident, Service Request, Major and Problem handling. Instead of the traditional presentation, she incorporated the material into an interactive setting. The department adopted the information extremely well. Most of all is Mary’s honesty. She was responsible and highly dependable when timelines were compressed. Mary came together as team player whether getting her hands dirty or coaching/mentoring staff or leadership.
