I hold a BA in anthropology and classical history (NYU, 2011) focusing on classical archaeology. I have a vision for organization and efficiency, which helped me thrive in the time-constrained environment of archaeological fieldwork. Capitalizing on the transferable skills acquired through my field research (e.g. record-keeping and data-entry, cartography, project supervision), I gained valuable experience as the Executive Assistant at Precision BioSciences, Inc since 2012. As the Executive Assistant at a small start-up company, I performed an eclectic variety of tasks mainly relating to the day-to-day running of our office, support of the executive team, accounts payable functions, and inter-office coordination. In my time at Precision, I quickly learned to use accounting software, and took it upon myself to further my proficiency in Microsoft Excel, which helped tremendously with my data entry skills. I also planned and executed monthly breakfasts and afternoon drinks with our small company as a way for us to have fun and relax as a working family. My supervisors rely on me for my dependability, flexibility, and dedication. I like to keep busy, to learn new skills and derive a personal sense of validation from being helpful. I enjoy seeing a project through, to have fun doing it, and approach any task as though it were my vocation. Despite having graduated three years ago, I am a funded, regular staff member at field projects in Egypt and Italy whenever my professional schedule allows me to join. There, I work as a field supervisor, overseeing undergraduate students as well as hired workmen, and interacting both with the local community and academic staff.
