María is a tourism and hospitality marketing PhD researcher. Her research area searches for the adoption of innovations to create value for consumers and enterprises, encompassing several disciplines, including consumer behavior, hospitality branding, cultural heritage and sustainability, branding destination management and marketing, digital tourism, event management, and business services.Graduated in Tourism Management from the University of Salamanca (Spain), and a diploma in Tourism Management from the University of Jaén (Spain). She gained her MSc degree in Tourism Management from the University of Salamanca, and her PhD degree (in Tourism Management and Marketing) from the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, School of Management, Zhejiang University (China).Diligent lecturer at Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, Hangzhou City University, and Zhejiang University of International Studies in Hangzhou, China, from 2015 until 2024.Before joining as a lecturer, María served in the hospitality and tourism industries in addition to being an assistant researcher at the University of Salamanca's Palencia Tourist Observatory. Her professional background includes research and consulting in tourism and hospitality in the Spanish and Portuguese tourism sectors.
