CurrentMajor Contribution: • Designed & developed a long term strategic plan jointly with the board of trustees in the UK, local Government, Non- Government stake holders & consultants considering the capacity & resources of the organization as well as the priorities of the Bangladesh government. • Signed an MOU with the Local Government authority to work together on hazardous child labor issues• Developed a program in 2013 that benefited 2600 children engaged in hazardous work as well as their families & enabled them to generate income & grew awareness on health & safety issues. • Assured different supports from renowned NGOs like BRAC, UCEP etc for the children of the project. • Served as one of the key members of Child Labor Monitoring & Elimination Committee of the Ministry. • Secured funding commitment from 2 corporate houses of Bangladesh that increased income by 250%. • Collaborated with an international partner –St. Giles Educational Trust, UK for teacher training.• Improved brand image of UKBET by partnering with the British Council & delivering their annual book reading competition & participation in the competition went from 600 in 2014 to 4300 children in 2017. • Managed the project TALE (Teaching & Learning English Project) funded by the European integration. • Received invitation from Oxford University Bangladesh Society to present UKBET’s children project. • Received technical advisory support from the faculty of Shah Jalal University of Science & Technology regarding education system for child labor involved in the project.
