I have more than 32 years of experience in the Telecom industry of Bangladesh. I served in BTTB and BTCL from January 1991 to mid-May 2016 and engaged myself in telecom network infrastructure development most of the time. I also served in the international business department of BTCL for two years. Then I served in Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL) from mid-May 2016 to December 2021, first as General Manager Operation and Maintenance and then from 17 October 2017 as Managing Director & CEO of the company. At that time BSCCL was the only company in Bangladesh providing international connectivity through subsea cables (SMW4 and SMW5 Cables). Later, I served as Director General in the Department of Telecommunications under the Telecom and ICT Ministry of Bangladesh government from January to June 2022. On 25 June 2022 I retired from the government service and after two months, on 25 August 2022, I joined as CEO in CdNet Communications Ltd, a telecom company in private sector engaged in subsea cable business in Bangladesh. Till date I am working in the company.
