Researched & created brand-specific design solutions and concepts from verbal and written direction that supported H-E-B's brand signage. Applied existing business concepts and logic to design solutions per each unique store location. Executed designs with detail and scale into various formats to fit certain conditions. Overseen approval of vendor drawings for fabrication and spec sheets.Lead design projects of any size and complexity to solve environmental design conditions. Applied feedback and learnings from previous projects to build solutions for future store design conditions. Collaborated with print vendors, copywriters, illustrators, architects, and others from project start to completion.

In my leadership role in the creative department, I trained and provided creative art direction for the junior designers on the team. As the lead creative, I ensured project time lines were effectively met and openly communicated with Project Managers to keep all projects on schedule. I actively presented sports design recommendations based on category, consumer and manufacturing insights. I participated in departmental and cross-functional meetings and effectively presented new design solutions to the Product Development Team. I created original concepts and designed sports trading cards, brand logos and packaging for NHL series hockey cards and the Blizzard Overwatch League. Previously I had designed the NBA Supreme Hard Court product, CFL & USA Football Card series as well as produced original NBA art/design pieces for Upper Deck Authentic.

Led the creative services team and was the mentor to other designers within the creative services department. Helped prioritize projects, meet tight deadlines, build relationships with other departments, create design overviews, provided direction for photo shoots, pitched design decisions to the Executive team and stakeholders to help progress the San Diego Padres brand. Responsible for the overall design and brand look of the San Diego Padres brand over multiple platforms that included but not limited to billboards, signs, digital ads, publications, social media graphics, internal documents, packaging, logos, sponsorship activations and merchandise.

Responsible for leading the creative direction, concept, development and production of original and brand- conscious designs for Spurs Sports and Entertainment franchises (Spurs Basketball, Stars Basketball and Rampage Hockey). Oversaw concept developments, design and production of: logos/brand identity systems, season campaigns, brochures, direct mail, invites, sales collateral, season tickets, team apparel, team uniforms, promotional items, flyers, posters, billboards, signs, advertising materials (print & digital) and in-arena lighthouse (LCD/LED). Maintained and established creative department policies. Coordinated with printers, sign and display companies, outside agencies and sponsors. Oversaw print production and time lines. Managed and was the mentor to our part-time/intern designers to influence and promote their professional growth.

Focused on creation and execution of magazine page layouts and advertisement designs for Builders Showcase Magazine. Concept development, design and layouts of: new home builder advertisements, logos, signs, trade show displays and marketing print collateral. Designed and produced working compositions for client presentations. Assisted with photography of model homes. Responsible for image editing and photo retouching enhancements on all publications.

Focused on design, layout and production of marketing materials that included: brochures, newsletters, flyers, posters, signs, displays, advertisements, e-mail graphics and web graphics. Oversaw all stages of print production. Managed printer quotes and bids. Coordinated with internal departments, physicians, printers, sign and display companies and in-house photographer. Worked closely with lead graphic designer and the marketing staff.
