• Devising the global tax planning and projects lead regarding the formulation, management, monitoring, and completion of Direct & Indirect Tax planning strategy. Advising on contract splitting with respect to tax implication, project completion deadlines to avoid tax implication, utilization of foreign workers and experts. Import of project specific services and goods and related tax implication and utilization of available exemptions. • Overseeing and directing the Strategic Growth and M&A initiatives for Global Tax. This involves generating, defending, and delivering value by optimizing deals and growth investments including surrendering of tax losses and group taxation & group relief. • Leading Global Tax Function's interaction with the Strategic Growth Leadership Team, M&A, Joint Ventures (JVA), Strategic Business Units (SBU), deal counterparts, various departments, and external stakeholders, including relevant government authorities. • Advising on areas such as tax incentives, optimized JVA deal terms/structure, ownership and financing structures, Global Enterprise Model. This includes devising efficient tax structures for groups having multinational subsidiaries and branches. • Engaged in advising on taxation of foreign and domestic permanent establishments. Advising on tax impact/limitation of admissible deduction for head office expenditures attributable to branches• Advising on inter company loans and implication of thin capitalization rules and formulation of admissible and inadmissible amounts for profit on debt between group companies. • Advising Multinational companies on transfer pricing rules under rules and guidelines by OECD BEPS 2.0, Group taxation, Anti money laundering law compliance and Ultimate beneficial ownership law compliance. This includes pre transaction advisory with respect to inter company transactions within group of MNE and subsidiaries. • Advisory with respect to impact of tax treaties.
