I have had many job roles in different departments which were; front desk, reservations, rentals & resales, housekeeping & maintenance. During my internship I mainly focused on improving processes, such as the process of the maintenance requests requested by other departments or guests, and re-organizing the laundry rooms and provide new procedures of restocking them. Next to this I have conducted manuals for the front desk, interned with the reservations supervisor where we handled all of the requests and room assignments, and lastly I have been responsible for the rentals & resales department in Casa del Mar for a month, and worked in that department for a total of 2 months. I have worked with many local people, as well as people from the Netherlands, the United States, Colombia, Venezuela, and people from the other Caribbean Islands. This was one of my inspirations to research the employee engagement in the company. It has been one of the greatest experiences so far, and I have felt at home even though I was so far away from it.
