Skip has joined West Marin Senior Services as Executive Director. The 325 sq. mile WMSS geographic territory stretches throughout coastal and rural West Marin County, CA from Muir Beach to Dillon Beach and through the parklands, agricultural lands and the Nicasio and San Geronimo Valleys. The WMSS team of Care Managers and Volunteers ensure that West Marin Senior Services deliver on the mission to help seniors live safely and with dignity at home and in their community. WMSS also owns and operates Stockstill House, an assisted living facility in Point Reyes Station for those seniors who are unable to continue to live at home. West Marin Senior Services has a venerable reputation, a dedicated Board, professional staff and many committed volunteers.As principal of MasInsight, Skip Schwartz assisted Bay Area nonprofits with management assessments, and planned giving and endowment program design and implementation, fundraising, Relationship Management, Executive Coaching.Skip served as founding Executive Director from 1975 - 2009 for Audubon Canyon Ranch (ACR), a leader in the movement to protect the natural legacy of West Marin County, California. Skip was Executive Director Emeritus and Senior Advisor 2010 - 2013. Skip is a skilled communicator and project manager, working collaboratively with nonprofit boards, staff, volunteers, foundations, legal advisors and consultants to reach consensus and achieve results. He cultivates critical relationships with donors, foundations, trustees and businesses, effectively developing and retaining support. Skip can read a room and work a room. Skip developed successful strategies to grow endowment funds from modest beginnings to over $24M.Skip knows the value of high expectations and recognition among co-workers. ACR was recognized as one of the North Bay Business Journal's “Best Places to Work” in 2009 and 2010.
