Identify and apply statutes and regulations to assist with program implementation, verbally and through written correspondence. - Participate in quality improvement reviews for assigned counties, providing consultation based on knowledge of specific local characteristics and programs. Share successful strategies, analyzes problem areas, and provide guidance to improve the quality of services to Medi-Cal beneficiaries. Review EQRO reports recommendations and Quality Improvement Work Plans. In collaboration with other staff, review and approve Cultural Competence Plan Updates, and determine the need for focused reviews of local programs where program operations are not in compliance with state or federal policy.- In consultation with Department staff and management, collaboratively address a wide range of county behavioral health issues at the local level, and consult with the EQRO regarding technical assistance to county programs based on assessment of local needs. Prepare issue papers, briefing documents, and reports on behalf of the Governor, legislative representatives, the Agency Secretary, the DHCS Director and Deputy Director. Represent the department on task forces and committees.
