I am a scientist interested in applying my expertise in biochemistry to drug development. I have over ten years of experience in uncovering enzyme mechanisms and solving other problems in protein biochemistry and protein engineering. The research strategies and tools I use include: the design and analysis of high-throughput enzyme activity and inhibition assays (using custom microfluidic technology), conventional protein purification and kinetic techniques, chemical synthesis, next-generation sequencing, and a suite of bioanalytical chemistry approaches such as proteomics/intact protein mass spectrometry and bioinorganic spectroscopy.I have experience working collaboratively, and on team projects, as well as leading my own projects and mentoring junior trainees (undergraduate and PhD students).
