I was mentored by Dr Sue Black OBE from the LSBU.From 1995 to 2003 Blues Clothing was using a legacy Unix text-based system and desperately needed a Microsoft-compatible Order Management and Accounting system that would work on the Windows operating system.Prima Solutions (UK) was selected as the best partner offering integrated solutions with :(1) "Prima Product Development" as the PLM that exports released products to (2) "Prima Order Management" as the core ERP for the supply chain management (P2P). The financial ledger postings from Order Management then seamlessly interface with (3) Open Accounts software.My role was to lead the team at Blues Clothing to gather requirements, document gaps, plan the project resources and timeline, assist the implementation, train staff and support go live.It was a major achievement for the company and myself with a successful launch with the PLM first followed by the ERP and accounting package shortly after.After completing this project the executive team offered a position to stay at Blues Clothing to extend the ERP capabilities, develop business intelligence and manage a support team.
