Driven by a desire to learn and a passion for helping others, my educational and professional foci are geared towards the ever-evolving field of healthcare. As an undergraduate student majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior, I study the complex physiology of the human nervous system which supports everyday life and investigate its intricate relationship with the psychological processes that influence how we think, feel, and act. Outside of the classroom, I work diligently to develop the necessary interpersonal skills to be a successful, contributing member of our society. These extracurricular activities include part-time research in two Department of Psychology labs, volunteer leadership positions on and off campus, and part-time employment as a University Tour Guide and Peer Tutor. With a working proficiency in Spanish that continues to develop, I am furthermore eager to connect with a broad and diverse group of people and sustain the formulation of my global identity. I see myself to be a curious, caring and collaborative individual, and I am always seeking new opportunities for transformational engagement with those and the rest of the world around me.
