Since being impacted by a reduction in force at Qualtrics, I have traveled to several US cities and Mexico, worked on multiple software projects (see Projects section below), and pursued my interest in small-scale agriculture by taking on a role at a regenerative farm.

Dockerized audio and video processing workers, optimizing workflows for efficiency and scalability.Implemented comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems using Prometheus and Grafana.Developed and maintained HashiCorp-based infrastructure, utilizing Vault for secure secret management, Consul for service discovery, and Nomad for container orchestration.

Project Highlights:• Made significant contributions to Kraken, a tool built to scan all user-generated surveys and email distributions for any suspicious activity or phishing attempts. Kraken was built using Python, FastAPI, Docker, Jenkins/Rundeck for CI/CD, and Prometheus/Grafana for metrics. Kraken also collected a database of abusive behavior and made alerts based on user data or IP addresses. The tool led to 76% reduction to phishing abuse on email distributions. • Served as product owner and added features for two scanning tools used to identify all Docker containers and databases running on any Qualtrics servers, and ran a series of diagnostics to ensure containers and databases complied with corporate security requirements (including Fedramp High/ISO 27001 security compliance). The tools were built using Python, Docker, Ansible, gRPC, and Hashicorp Nomad.• Maintained the internal Wazuh host intrusion detection system and contributed to migration to Falcon Crowdstrike.• Developed an IP blocklist/allowlist management tool with integrations into Slack, Jira, AWS, Cloudflare, and Akamai. Utilized Python, Docker, Jenkins, AWS, Bash, Hashicorp Vault, and Git. • Conducted team operations review meetings to ensure Fedramp High/ISO 27001 security compliance, track performance and failures of tools and machines, analyze on-call incidents, and discuss triage support tickets. Reduced weekly on-call incidents from 5-6/week to 0-1/week during tenure.• Contributed to corporate initiative to migrate all non-AWS servers to AWS. • Played a pivotal role in building new team following a December 2022 restructuring. Onboarded new members and fostered a collaborative environment as the team doubled in size over one year.

While in this position I created Microsoft Azure based apps that help local government improve their efficiency in dealing with paperwork.

As a Lab Supervisor I mentored students in coding, maintained the lab, and collaborated with faculty to design effective coursework.

My work included development of new workflows to expedite file processing, managing the cross-platform transfer of client accounts, and preparing tax returns.
