Youth representatives create connections between youth, elected officials, and organizations. Youth representatives also advise and provide policy recommendations to legislators based on relevant youth issues such as violence against youth, mental health access, equitable transportation, and barriers to healthcare.

-Lead 15 students in scientific exploration and research activities such as dissection, gathering testable samples from the environment, and an in-lab experiment testing water quality.

-Board Members formally guide UpRISE which is a youth-led community movement focused on social justice surrounding youth tobacco and nicotine use. Board members also work alongside coalitions to plan statewide events, forums, and discussions centered around the tobacco industry, social justice, and root causes of addiction. -Developed and implemented a statewide mental health event that addressed youth tobacco use and reached more than 100 youth participants.
