I was born in Evans, GA outside of Augusta, the heart of public health care in Georgia. My mother has worked for the Medical College of Georgia in many regards involving ultrasound education for my entire life. Her work experience and my chronic illness as a young child made me appreciate those in health care and it sparked a passion in me to become a physician. I am currently a student at the University of Georgia studying Biomedical Physiology. I also have minors in Chemistry, Biology, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. I started as a basic Pre-med student but slowly got interested in certain science fields that I feel will prepare me for medical school. I also participated in the Redcoat Marching Band in many aspects throughout my undergraduate experience. I was a part of football band, basketball band, volleyball band, gymnastics band, and had many leadership roles including rank leader, section leader, and uniform chair. I gained a lot of valuable skills including organization skills, leadership skills, critical thinking, and problem solving, amongst others.In the upcoming fall, I am seeking employment in health care and I am in the process of getting my CNA license. I have experience working as a medical assistant at a doctor's office in Evans, volunteering at AU Medical Center, and shadowing with many physicians at AU Medical Center.
