I am a Senior at Miami University currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a Master of Computer Science degree to be received in Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 respectively. I currently work for Nationwide as a Software Engineering student worker where I help to maintain several of their in-house java applications run on Spring Boot. This opportunity was preceded by my previous internship. In the summer of 2023, I joined the Nationwide Technology Team as a Data Designer intern where I gained expert knowledge in SQL and learned Data Analysis with technologies such as DataBricks and Snowflake. In my life, I hope to gain expertise in software development to engineer solutions that solve real-world problems. My top skills include Java, C++, and object-oriented programming with skills in problem-solving and teamwork. On top of my practical Agile experience, I have had experience within the classroom applying those skills. I am currently in the second semester of my capstone project where we are developing a class scheduling app for Miami students. Additionally, I was designated as the leader of a final project team for CSE 201 (Introduction To Software Engineering) my sophomore year. Our team developed a website called "Miami Jumpstart" for Miami students to leave honest reviews on campus facilities. In this position, I implemented Agile Software Development techniques to divide tasks among group members and iteratively complete the project. In the end, our project received full marks! Other courses I have taken at Miami include Algorithms, Data Structures, and Object-Oriented Programming. Outside of class, I have a passion for music and service; starting my first week on campus, I got plugged in with a local church, Oxford Bible Fellowship. I help with leading the congregation by playing electric guitar in the worship band every Sunday. I am also involved in a service organization called Ox-Wee. I serve as the treasurer where I manage funds and send financial support to a school in Uganda of which we are the only supporter.
