I'd describe myself as an approachable and hard-working interaction designer who is committed to creating research-driven projects that improve the lives of users. Having worked in many cross-functional teams, I’ve found that problem-solving and collaboration are some of the best skills a designer can have. Currently, I'm looking for an internship for Summer 2021.After graduating high-school, I sought a graphic design degree at Georgia State University, formerly Georgia Perimeter College, in hopes to gain work as a digital animator. Two years later I discovered that in addition to expressing creative solutions, I wanted to make an impact on others. After attempting software development, I found the career I was looking for: interactive design.When presented with mock-up business issues in my first interactive design class, I realized that envisioning innovative solutions to each problem came naturally, and the process of researching, collaborating, and designing alongside others gave me the sociability and innovative expression that software development lacked.Despite this, I still had a love for computer science, so I pursued a digital game development minor, which allowed me to participate in many cross-functional teams containing software developers and computer engineers whom I still talk to this day.Additionally, I found that I take great pride in helping the users of digital media, and so when designing interactive products, I work hard so the user can have the best experience possible. To me, consumer outcome determines the success of design work, and by extension the company behind it. My skills include: UX research & design, SEO, graphic design, digital game development, technical communication, and prototyping; most of which are showcased on my portfolio website.Outside of work, you may see me hiking along the Chattahoochee River or rock-climbing at Stone Summit. I take Jeff Gothelf and Josh Seiden’s design principle “getting out of the building(GOOB)” very literally.
