As a Research Associate in Quality Control at abcam, I contribute to the development and validation of high-quality antibodies and reagents for biomedical research. I perform various laboratory techniques, such as gel electrophoresis, ELISA, and western blotting, to test and analyze the specificity, sensitivity, and stability of the products. I also document and report the results, ensuring compliance with the quality standards and protocols.I graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Biochemistry in Sep 2022, where I developed a passion for science and technology, and a strong foundation in molecular biology, organic chemistry, and bioinformatics. I completed a research project on the synthesis and purification of coumarin derivatives, using a novel method of Pechmann condensation that I designed and optimized. I also gained experience in genetic engineering and transformation of E. coli for protein expression. I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge to the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or chemical research and development, and to pursue my career goals of discovering and creating novel technologies that can benefit human health and society.
