My extensive training in Cat 785b, 789c, 793d, and 793f model “Dumper” haul trucks, amongst an assortment of light duty vehicles, allowes me to provide a safe, efficient, and productive example and work environment for my co-workers, other departments, and on and off-site contractors alike. Starting my day with the daily crew meetings, or “Line-out” meetings, my crew of 70+ operators, both green and senior alike, will discuss the plan for the day, safety incidents/recognitions, brainstorming to alleviate potential hazardous conditions, providing a safe start and end to the day. Following that, a considerable pre-operational inspection, to ensure the equipment was in safe and good working order, was then reported to my dispatch maintenance supervisor. Throughout the day, intimate attention to haul road conditions, dispatch instructions, and other operators is paramount to achieve accurate transportation of a handful of different grades of material to guarantee effective production for other departments.
