Under the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP), I was a post-reunification election observer and researcher on a team appointed by the UN Secretary-General Kofi Annon to evaluate the failure of the Annon Plan to reunite Cyprus. My Team interviewed political leaders, Military generals, civilians and investors in both the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Republic of Cyprus. The final report was submitted to the Secretary-General to be presented to the UN General Assembly in 2006.
