• Designed interviews, refined interview questions with a team of professional operation managers and student employees• Screened potential hires for situational awareness and general ability to perform the job well via Zoom meetings • Cleaned and sanitized equipment, upheld safety policies in weight room such as wearing masks and safe lifting/weight training protocols• Provided quality customer service to patrons• Gained great insight into the human resources department of a large organization and have learned how challenging the staffing process truly is

• Expanded on knowledge base from first clinical rotation at this facility• Focused on more heavily on therapeutic diets, more advanced diet educations, and enteral feeding calculations• Learned about coding/billing and the process of reimbursement for clinical dietitians

My experience at the DCH Diabetes and Nutrition Education Center has been the most enjoyable of my entire internship and has genuinely inspired me to pursue a position in which I can educate and uplift others through nutrition. • Collaborated with clients to set realistic and practical individualized goals, developing appropriate care plans• Conducted sessions with a variety of clients with conditions such as type 1 & 2 diabetes, weight management, and Crohn's disease• Tailed affordable dietary patterns, considering the social determinants of health, as many clients in the Tuscaloosa area were of lower socioeconomic status• Precepted by dietitians and nurses, all of whom were Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists.
