A recent graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in Sociology with concentration in Social Inequalities. Studying the relationship between culture and society, examining social movements, or researching how communication affects human behavior provided capability and charisma in communication for speech and writing. Along with identifying problems and providing research and solutions either independently or team driven.Through my time at App State I gained customer service skills through 2 1/2 years experience through working at Sorrento’s Italian Bistro as a Server. Team orientation as well as interpersonal strengths allowed for high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment, along with contributing to a positive work environment to keep everyone motivated.I have also been a long-time volunteer and Summer Staffer of the Appalachia Service Project that is people-focused and allowed me to build lasting relationships with the homeowners we served, volunteers, and the community I was placed in. A demanding job physically and mentally I gained time-management and project planning skills, whether short or long term that allowed for everyone to be fullfilled.
