Operates rakes to remove rags from incoming lines; operates manual equipment to skim clarifiers; collects samples from ponds and performs laboratory analyses to evaluate such factors as pH level, dissolved oxygen content, biochemical oxygen demand, amount of suspended solids and temperature of ponds; identifies problems and deficiencies and performs general maintenance, housekeeping and repair of pumps, equipment and related sewage facilities; operates all pumps associated with wastewater treatment; washes out clarifiers with hoses; performs fecal coliform tests; reads flow meters and records observations; checks flow loggers and makes adjustments as necessary; performs chlorine residual tests and makes proper adjustments in level of chlorine used; records results of tests and analyses; cleans trash from ponds and pond screens. Performs duties like that of general craftworkers as needed, including, but not limited to, assisting with the operation of wastewater television inspection equipment, maintaining, repairing and installing sewer lines and sewage pumping units, assisting with the continuous sewer rodder, jet rodder, dump truck, backhoe and other sewer maintenance equipment. Checks and records weather data; performs all other related work and overtime as required.

Coordinate with construction workers to determine how to safely and effectively close down sections of road. Position temporary work zones utilizing warning signs, traffic cones, barrels, etc. according to regulatory requirements. Load and unload work zone equipment, to/from the company vehicle. Drive company vehicles to and from job sites in a safe manner. Safely manage traffic control through active work zones while utilizing appropriate signage and radio communication. Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner. Performed other general duties as specified. Required to be on call 24/7
