Representative ExperienceFCPA Investigation: Engaged by Brazilian entity to conduct a large scale internal investigation on its holding company, subsidiaries, and special purpose entities to identify evidence and knowledge of kickbacks paid for construction contracts stemming from “operation car wash”. Led 30 person team to perform data analytics across 10 entities totaling over 100 million transactions.Fraud Detection and Monitoring: Engaged by financial institution to implement a proactive fraud prevention program. Representative Experience- Engaged by international bank to quantify its internal exposure to U.S. taxpayers having offshore accounts after the IRS served a John Doe summons to its correspondent bank in the U.S. Performed electronic search for U.S. indicia in core banking and transactional systems. Developed custom web-based case management tool to assist in the review of high risk customers and accounts.- Engaged by foreign financial institutions in Switzerland to act as the Independent Examiner to verify the bank’s process of identifying and disclosing U.S. related accounts to the DOJ as required by the U.S.-Swiss Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) Program. Reviewed and verified the electronic record search for U.S. indicia performed by third-party consulting firms on behalf of the banks as part of the bank's due-diligence requirements on account holders. - Engaged by multinational banking and financial services holding company in the U.S. to assist with the overall response to 100+ multi-district Mortgage-Backed Security litigation matters. Assisted the bank’s in-house legal teams and external counsel to identify in-scope systems and databases that stored mortgage servicing data. Responded to, managed and executed the production requests for servicing data from over 50 government agencies and banks.
