I have been involved in most aspects of software design, systems analysis, help-desk services and computer provisioning, set-up and fault analysis.I have always been a technician at core with a strong attraction to the electro-mechanical. In private life, I am the go-to guy for anything electrical as my training in the Devonport Dockyards as an electrical fitter saw me trouble-shooting and repairing anything from weapons guidance systems to power reticulation systems. When offered the choice of specialisations, I chose yard maintenance for the varied challenges.More recently, I have been analysing business processes on a freelance basis. I was tasked with using my knowledge of business practice and production lifecycles to develop in-house software solutions to improve their productivity. My previous work history starts with a small electrical contracting business on completion of my electrical fitting apprenticeship. After 10 years I migrated to technical engineering before eventually embarking on a sales career.I established myself as a competent Account Manager with a broad range of practical skills. These skills have been expanded to include running seminars, promotions and large group presentations. I achieved a merit pass in the DMA Direct Marketing Certificate course at Victoria University and added to that negotiating skills and supervisory courses. I co-ordinated the daily operations of three departments in a Wellington company and spent 3 months standing in as temporary head of Information Technology before moving to a marketing operation in a technical role.I was a Pastor in a Wellington Pentecostal Church for 25 years, eventually retiring from there when we moved to the Wairarapa.
