Utility Technician: • can terminate Cat5 cable to TIA-568B Standard• understands installation of physical connections (RJ45, fiber, etc)• understands equipment deployment standards• can arrange and wire up a dri-box• understands wireless technology (interference, importance of standard channels, etc)Network Technician• can patch the NOC rack• understands VLAN tags• understands and deploys monitoring software and controllers (Unifi, Meraki, Ruckus,etc.)• ability to confidently configure all standard Roundrock devices• understands and ensures monitoring is operational and accurateNetwork Engineer• able to keep up with any technical conversation involving networks• deep understanding and application of wireless technology (channel planning,interference detection and correction)• deep understanding of TCP/IP packets• deep understanding of routing• routinely inspects air quality• routinely tests network for performance and troubleshooting

Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction Keep running task list and follow up on all completed and open itemsMonitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests based on priority Report issues to the IT Manager and/or 3rd party providers for escalation Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. and perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as requiredInstall, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software ensuring each workstation has a fully functional computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, phone, and any additional specialized equipment Assign users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory Maintain inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses Keep or create training manuals for all system related requirementsTrain computer users on basic functionality and tips and tricks for ease of useTest all stored computer equipment; determine if it should be cleaned up and sold or disposed of.
