I started working at C-Therm Technologies when it was still a small company, less than 10 people. I was there to see it developed into the world leader in thermal conductivity instrumentation and winner of the New Brunswick Export Award for Global Diversification. C-Therm had a demanding and dynamic work environment where I thrived because of my capacity to multitask, my flexibility to changing priorities and my ability to collaborate with different stakeholders.I took over many different responsibilities including the design of electronic circuit boards and cable assemblies, as well as the QA assurance, testing and manufacturing of C-Therm’s hardware and software products.Some of my tasks and accomplishments included:-Designing production and compliance test plans as well as test stations-Designing assembly instructions.-Training lab technicians to work with these test plans and assembly instructions-Performing integration and testing of final products. -Conducting trouble-shooting and maintenance of the TCi Analyzer and its software.-Managing the pilot-run and manufacturing of C-Therm’s new products.-Performing obsolescence and BOM management.-Designing electronic circuit boards prototype and their firmware-Writing of specifications for cable assemblies and collaboration with distributors to ensure cost effective manufacturing of the cables.-Improving quality and traceability within C-Therm by introducing document templates, a bug tracking database (Mantis) as well as a software revision control (SVN) tool.Some of my daily tasks included design of assembly instructions, obsolescence and BOM management, as well as training and support of Lab Technicians.

Working as a contractor for Sagem Defence in a MRO team, I performed troubleshooting of electronic equipment embedded in airborne and naval optronic sighting systems. Sagem being an environment where quality and traceability were vital, most of my work was recorded on SAP or in bug tracking databases. Some of my tasks and accomplishments at Sagem included:- Designing manual test plans and test cases.- Troubleshooting of defective products, allowing the repair and maintenance of ten helicopters, five land vehicles, and a submarine.- Decreasing of the product repair time by 30% through personal initiatives such as the creation of an experience feedback database.- Offsite equipment testing.I worked with different tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, logic analyzers, and the mantis bug tracking system. Reading and analyzing schematics was also part of my daily routine.

Working as a contractor for Magneti Marelli, I enjoyed testing software for telematics and infotainment products that were going to be mounted in Peugeot and Citroën high-end vehicles all over Europe. I worked specifically on the RT3, RT4 and RT5 “4 in 1” product lines, combining multiple audio and multimedia functions, hands-free GSM phone technology, local emergency call capability and a GPS navigation system. Some of my tasks and accomplishments at Magneti Marelli included:-Designing test plans and test cases.-Performing of acceptance, functional, sanity and regression tests.-Updating Testand and Canoe programs for the test automation of Magneti Marelli products.-Collaborating on a regular basis with software architects and developers.-Meeting with the customer for presentation of the software releases.-Training and supporting an offshore team.-Decrease of the testing time of cartographic databases by over 20% through improvements in the delivery process from the subcontractor (Navteq).At Magneti Marelli, I worked with numerous tools such as CANalyzer, Canoe, Testand, bug tracking systems as well as custom tools for testing GSM phone and local emergency calling.

At Alstom Transport, I designed two IGBT driver boards that were then used to equip a 750V chopper and a 750V power inverter for Trains and Light Rail Vehicles. These electronic circuit boards had to be designed according to railway standards, used custom components and were required to have a 30-year service life.Some of my tasks included:-Designing functional specifications for two electronic boards and for custom components. I had to consult three different stakeholders during the specifications writing.-Designing electronic circuit boards, managing BOM and sizing components. Goals included double sourcing all components, achieving energy efficiency, and ensuring durability over a 30-year service life.-Collaborating with the mechanical technicians in order to integrate the electronic boards and cabling in the power inverter module.-Supervising the board layout and collaborating with the PCB Design technicians at critical points (power supplies, EMI/EMC, insulation constraints). -Supervising the products industrialization in collaboration with two different subcontractors.Functional testing, integration testing and debugging of the prototypes. -Participating in the FMEA analysis.
