In January 2016, after a well diversified and fully rewarding career as a Senior Executive Vice President at Thales Alenia Space, Massimo di Lazzaro decided to start a new, fully independent consulting activity In aerospace and defence Sector.In January 2013 he was appointed Executive Vice President of the Business Line Observation, Exploration, Navigation being responsible of all activities of the JV, Thales Alenia Space, in Italy and France. In the same year he was responsible for Marketing & Sales within the Business Line.Untill June 2015 he is member of the Executive Committee of Thales Alenia Space JV, of the Board of Thales Alenia Space Italia S.p.A. and of the Comitato Direttivo of the Consorzio ALTEC.Since the creation of Alcatel Alenia Space, he became Senior Vice President of the Business Unit Observation Systems & Radar, coordinating all the System and Radar activities in Italy and France.Joining Alenia Spazio in 2003 he was appointed VP for the Company Risk Management.Before Leaving Selex, for two years, he has been Engineering Director of AMS Naval System Division, developing activities for Naval Systems and Naval Command and Control Systems. After this initial activity, he spent a very long period of time working in Selenia System Engineering Department, as Project Leader of several Selenia Two and Tri-dimensional Surveillance Radar, Air Traffic Control Radar, Meteorological Radar and Naval Radar, then as Responsible of the Radar System Engineering Department.In 1976 just after being graduated at the University degli Studi di Roma, Laurea in Engineering Telecommunications, he joined Selenia Development Laboratories where he gained a large experience in Signal Processing as responsible of the design of some Digital Signal Processors for Military surveillance Radar.In the same period he was responsible of a research activity, in cooperation with CSELT, for redundancy reduction of satellites images for the European Space Agency.
